20th July - 31st August, 2018
The Polish Arms Museum at 5 Emilii Gierczak Street, Koszalin
20th July, 2018; at 06.00 pm - the vernissage to celebrate the opening of the new temporary exhibition "Just a bike".
In 1817 Karl Drais combined the frame with two wheels arranged one behind the other and he gave in to his feet and drove off. This is how the amazing history of the bike begins, an invention which revolutionized the world at the time. The exhibition will show several dozen two-wheelers, presenting the achievements of manufacturers over the years (including the achievements of the Polish producer Romet). At the exhibition, you will see bicycles for adults, children, or the famous tandem (bicycle for two people). The exhibition tells the story of a bicycle that had a huge impact on changes in behavior and social preferences. The exhibition will be complemented by photographs and satirical drawings about two-wheelers. Bikes come from own collections of the Museum of Technology and Transport - Art Depot in Szczecin.
The exhibition will be open until August 31 during the opening hours of the Museum.
