Anita Lipnicka debuted in the pop band Varius Manx and quickly became one of the most popular voices of her generation. She has twelve albums sold in 2 million copies and many prestigious record awards.
In 1996, she left the country for a few years to live in London; at that time she successfully continued her solo career, releasing successively three albums recorded in England with the participation of local session musicians.
In 2002, the artist began working with John Porter. Despite various experiences and a separate artistic past, they both created a successful duet enjoying critical acclaim and broad public appreciation. Their first jointly realized project entitled "Indecent Songs" was created for almost a year in London. The single "Bones of Love" promoting this release, quickly conquered the charts, and the album gained the status of 'platinum' and was awarded among others the statuette of Fryderyk 2003 in the category 'Best album of the year'.The three recorded albums have achieved the status of gold and their popularity has increased hundreds of concerts in the country and abroad (including in Dublin, Edinburgh and Brussels), always warmly received with appreciation from the audience.
In 2009, Anita returned to the stage with the long-awaited solo project "Hard Land Of Wonder" where she performed as a composer and producer. The album gained the status of a gold record and was awarded with Fryderyk in the category of "Poetic Record of the Year".In 2013, the artist recorded another solo album entitled "Vena Amoris". It was the first album in ten years sung in Polish. Shortly after its release, the artist went on tour in Poland with musicians from England.
On November 17, 2017, Anita's latest solo album "Honey and Smoke" was released, recorded with The Hats band, accompanying her constantly at concerts. The first single promoting this album was "Ptasiek" which came from high on the charts (three months in the top ten LP 3) and the video from the premiere on Youtube has over two million hits. Lipnicka herself watched over the production and mix of the whole album, which promises her sixth solo album: "It will be spicy, vintage, with the echo of blues, country and folk from golden hippie years. In the texts a lot of references to nature - all because of landscapes, the climate that accompanies us while creating in the middle of the forest, by the lake ... Away from the city noise. "
