The Holy Spirit chapel is located in the south-western part of the Old Town, within the old city walls, by national road no 26.
The Holy Spirit chapel was erected in the 14th century. Its original patron is not known. Historians suppose that it served as a chapel of a margrave or of one of merchant guilds. During the Reformation period the chapel lost its religious function. In the 16th century, it was used as a sheep shed and a brewery, and since the 18th century – as a salt warehouse. In the 19th century, it housed a fire station and flats. After the Second World War, the chapel was used as a warehouse again, and since 1979, it has been a seat of the Museum of the Myślibórz Lakeland.
The chapel was built in the Gothic style on a rectangular plan. Its lower part is built of stone, the upper – of brick. The chapel is topped with a ceramic pitched roof. The building can be accessed through a double-leaf door with a lanceted portal with a circular window. Also, an ornamental brick frieze located under a cornice catches the eye of visitors.
