The hall is located on the western bank of Drzewny Canal near a two-lane thoroughfare – Solna Street. It has its own parking – payable from the front, free of charge at the back.
It is the largest sports hall in the County with pitches and gymnasiums suitable for numerous team and individual sports disciplines, and a 25-metre swimming pool. It has a typical white roof which looks like a hat and it is clearly visible from a distance, when you drive along Solna Street. It is a place where various festivals, concerts and celebrations are organized. For nine years (2005-2014) basketball matches in the highest league were played here by Kotwica Kołobrzeg. The bleachers with 1300 seats were full of supporters. On the ground floor there is a gym, a fitness room, a playground for children, and in the adjacent wing – a sports shooting range. There is also a billiard room in the yard from the side of Drzewny Canal. On the first floor there are many matts intended for martial arts. The main hall is intended for team sports and it is equipped with a professional score board for basketball results. There are three volleyball courts, as well as goals for handball and soccer. One of the rooms was reconstructed for the needs of football "in cages", where you play in two-people teams. There is also a sports shop. There is accommodation with a 24-hour hotel reception desk. The hall is very well-prepared for the disabled – an elevator, comfortable toilets and changing rooms.
The hall belongs to the town and it is managed by the Municipal Sport and Recreation Centre which has its headquarters here.
