VIII Westpomeranian Clarinet Festival is a continuation of seven previous festival editions which took place in 2005 - 2016.
The organizer of the Festival is Feliks Nowowiejski the Complex of State Music Schools in Szczecin, co-organizer of the 8th edition is the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin and the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The partners are: the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, the Secondary Marek Jasiński Music School and the State Tadeusz Szeligowski Music School in Szczecin.
The festival is addressed to Polish students of the 1st and 2nd degree Music Schools and students of the Instrumental Department of Music Academies from Poland and abroad. The main goal of the Festival is to popularize clarinet music, raise the level of teaching on the clarinet and exchange experiences of students and educators from home and abroad. The idea of the Festival is to promote the City of Szczecin and the Westpomeranian Region and create a space to meet the clarinetist music community - pupils, teachers, artists, soloists, clarinet music fans.
The festival takes place under the Patronage of the City of Szczecin and the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Center for Artistic Education and the Marshal of the Westpomeranian Region. Media patronage is held by: TVP Szczecin, Polish Radio Szczecin, Kurier Szczeciński and internet portal "Infoludek".
During the Festival, masterclasses and clarinet workshops for students, students and clarinet teachers will be conducted by outstanding soloists and recognized educators from Poland and abroad. As part of the festival, there will also be accompanying concerts with the participation of the Orchestra of M. Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin and pianists and chamber musicians. The largest companies offering the full clarinet assortment combined with the exhibition of instruments and accessories will present themselves at the festival.
The founder of the festival and the artistic director is the Szczecin clarinettist Piotr Piechocki - musician of the Szczecin Philharmonic and the General Director of the State Music Schools. Feliks Nowowiejski in Szczecin.
