The source of Pyrzyce Meetings with Folklore was the desire to create a new, common identity of people who came to Pyrzyce after the Second World War. Currently, the main goal of the festival is to revive, popularize and activate groups cultivating folk traditions in the field of dance, music, singing, handicrafts, regional and national dishes.

Pyrzyce Meetings with Folklore are an attempt to combine tradition with contemporary manifestations of folklore. On the Pyrzycko stage, artists creating modern music inspired by folk culture can be seen and heard.
