The church is in the city center, between Barnima I and Grunwaldzka Streets, at Mieszka I Square.
The first records of the church in Goleniów are dated back to the 13th century. The present church is a hall, three-nave, and three-span church. The chancel is two-span, closed with three hexagonal walls. The square tower is adjoined by two-span, stellar vault annexes on the north and south sides.
In the presbytery, attention is drawn to the altar, which consists of a large wooden cross with a figure of Christ and a triptych in the cabinet. There are two sculptures under the cross - Our Lady of Sorrows and St. John the Evangelist. Seven wooden sculptures are placed in the triptych. The Blessed Virgin Mary with the Child was placed in the center, surrounded by saints: Katarzyna, Agnieszka, Otto, Barbara, Dorota and Mikołaj. The altar is decorated with an intricate ornament. A gilded tabernacle was placed under the triptych. In the huge church windows, there are stained glass windows depicting St. John Paul II, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe together with the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate, St. Catherine of Alexandria. The church is equipped with a baptismal font, built based on an old bowl.
Consecrated on December 18, 1960.
