The lookout tower in Świdwie Nature Reserve is situated approx. 20 km west from Police and approx. 23 km north-west from the centre of Szczecin. It is located at the edge of Wkrzańska Primeval Forest just next to the border with Germany. In order to get there from Szczecin take province road no. 115 to Tanowo, and turn towards Węgornik at the fork of the road, where you can find a road sign towards Świdwie. You can also continue driving province road no. 115 towards Dobieszczyn, where you turn towards Zelesie where the headquarters of the Trzebież Forestry Management is located. Turn left just before it and follow the road signs for approx. 1 km.
The lookout tower is on the shore of Świdwie Lake and you can admire the panorama of the lake and its surroundings there. The building is situated within Świdwie Nature Reserve and it is made of wood. Its roof is covered with thatch which is supposed to imitate a village cottage. It is approx. 10 metres tall and it allows to observe fauna and flora using a telescope installed there permanently. Moreover, on the lookout terrace there are boards presenting birds which live in the area. The tower is situated on the roof of a building. It has wooden benches and it has got electricity. The building is monitored and protected. There are wooden stairs with handrails. One storey is available for visitors for the entire year. It seems to be a very solid construction, which allows several dozen people to stay on the terrace. Nearby apart from the building on the roof of which the tower was placed, there are three wooden thatched sheds, inside of which tables and seats surrounded with stone wall were placed. In the middle there is a circle intended for a bon fire. Certainly also young visitors will like the place. There is a parking place nearby.
