Monuments at the old cement plant are in the Zdroje district, about 10 km from the center, on a small square in front of the Toepffer grotto. Parking spaces are available nearby. Bus no. 64 runs to the Lake Szmaragdowe.
The monuments at the old cement plant were built in 1912 as part of the 50th anniversary of the "Stern" cement plant, which is one of the largest factories of this type in Europe. It was founded and led by Albert Eduard Toepffer. They commemorate the production of 2 million tons of cement at the factory. One of them shows the "Spring", the other - the "Griffin" with the family coat of arms of the founders. The German architect Delbruck was their creator. In the immediate vicinity of the monuments there was a grotto behind two arches, on which the pagoda was placed. Performances, dances, and various cultural events sponsored by cement plants took place there. Currently, there is only an arrowhead and one bow. When Elsa (Albert's son's wife) died in 1942, her urn was hidden in the platform of one of the monuments (now the Spring). As a result, it is often called a cenotaph (tomb). The monuments were embellished by the sculptor Stanisław Biżek in 1982. The cenotaph is now an allegory of a spring, depicted with a woman pouring water, and refers to the 1925 Emerald Lake disaster. The second monument is a relief of a griffin and the coat of arms of the Toepffer family.
