The railway water tower is located approx. 100 m south of the Poviat Starosty, in a side street, next to the railway warehouse.
The railway water tower was built in 1912. Its task was to supply steam locomotives with water. The structure consists of a red brick core and a half-timbered head, referring to the late medieval style. In the early 1970s, the eastern curtain wall of the reservoir collapsed - the technical condition of the tower was poor. It was only in 1991 that the building underwent a complete renovation, as a result of which its metal roof was replaced, the façade walls were whitewashed, and the wooden elements of the structure were impregnated with black impregnation.
Due to its design and a successful combination of technical and aesthetic functions, the tower is one of the most interesting, but still underrated, historical buildings in Goleniów. It still supplies the station buildings with water.
