The church is located at Kościelna, in the center of Nowogard.
The church was constructed in the 14th century. It was rebuilt many times. It presents a gothic style. It is built of red brick, on a square plan as a three-nave pseudo-basilica, with a chancel closed on three sides. The naves have stellar and cross-ribbed vaults based on two pairs of octagonal pillars. The church has a tower with a turret on the top. It is worth paying attention to the valuable furnishings of the church, including: the main altar from the 16th-17th centuries; pulpit from the 17th century; two stone Romanesque fonts; stone tombstones of the Richterin family from the 16th and 17th centuries. Walls are decorated with polychromes made in 1969.
The church was consecrated on August 5, 1945.
