The church is located in the city centre, between Barnima I and Grunwaldzka Streets, at Mieszka I Square.
The first mention of the church in Goleniów comes from the thirteenth century. The present church is the hall, three-nave and three-bay one. The presbytery is two-bay and closed with three walls of the hexagon. Two-bay outbuildings with stellar vault adjoin the square tower from the north and south.
The altar, which consists of a large wooden cross with a statue of Christ and the winged triptych, turns one's attention in the presbytery. Two statues are under the cross - of Our Lady of Sorrow and of St. John the Evangelist. Seven wooden sculptures were placed in the triptych. The statue of Blessed Virgin Mary and Child was placed in the centre, surrounded by: St. Catherine, St. Agnes, St. Otto, St. Barbara, St. Dorothy and St. Nicholas. The altar is decorated with intricate ornamentation. A gilded tabernacle was placed under the triptych. The huge church windows have stained glass windows depicting St. John Paul II, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, together with the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate, St. Catherine of Alexandria. The church features a baptismal font built on the basis of the old jorum.
