Character of the commune: the dominant economy in the commune is agriculture, trade, and services. The Maszewo commune borders the communes: from the north with Osina and Nowogard, from the east with Dobra and Chociwel, from the south with Stara Dąbrowa and Stargard Szczeciński, and from the west with Goleniów.
