The Dziewoklicz Swimming Centre is a bit distant from the city center, it is in Międzyodrze, on the right bank of the Western Oder, at the Leśny Canal. Communication with the city center, as well as with the districts of the right bank (Podjuchy, Żydowce) is provided by bus line 61 (Dziewoklicz stop). By car from the city center, the easiest way to get there is by taking road no. 13 to Rondo Hackena, there, turning onto the Poznan Motorway (towards Podjuchy).
The swimming centre in this place was established in 1933, it had an area of 4 hectares, and the beach stretched for 300 meters. After the Second World War, the swimming centre was reopened in the 1960s. To this day, it is a popular bathing place, especially among the inhabitants of the right-bank districts of the city, as well as the nearby left-bank districts (Pomorzany, Gumieńce). It is estimated that in the summer season it is visited by about 1,000 people a day. The water depth in the swimming area reaches 4 m. 8 full-time and 4 social lifeguards take care of the safety of people using the facility. The swimming area is fenced, inside there are showers, toilets, changing rooms and rubbish bins. There is also a sanitary point for vacationers. There is a large volleyball court and places for bonfires and barbecues (you can grill and bake sausages on 3 fireplaces). There are also several dining options. Near the swimming area there is a water equipment rental run by PTTK. The concreted part of the wharf next to the beach is, in turn, a popular spot among anglers.
