Amfiteatr im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego [the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Amphitheatre] in Koszalin is located in Park Książąt Pomorskich [the Park of Pomeranian Dukes]. It borders with the philharmonic from one side and with the public library from the other, but Kościuszki Street runs between the amphitheatre and the library. You can get to the amphitheatre by driving along Piastowska Street, at which there is a car park for approx. 50 cars. To get to Piastowska Street, You can go along Zwycięstwa Street, turn towards the park opposite the post office into Piastowska Street; or go along Młyńska Street, turn also toward the park at Henryki Rodkiewicz Roundabout into Piastowska Street.

The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Amphitheatre in Koszalin is one of the largest of its kind in Poland. It was built on a spectacular scale in the years 1973-75. The immediate impetus for the idea of ​​building the amphitheatre was a great success of Polish Choirs Festival, which have taken place in Koszalin since 1970. The auditorium with a stage and backstage was designed by the architects from Koszalin: Marian Czerner and Andrzej Katzer. The bold and beautiful coping of the whole building is a huge, arched roof built by prof. Jan Filipkowski on the occasion of the State Central Harvest Festival.

The amphitheatre is used in the summer as an entertainment and cultural centre. The auditorium is roofed and can accommodate 4,500 spectators. In the summer months, there are many musical concerts organised in the amphitheatre. Since 1994, a major event has been the Summer Cabaret Festival taking place annually in July, hosted by the Koń Polski cabaret from Koszalin; and current favourites of the audience tend to be among the guests. Moreover, the Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra organises their performances and concerts on the stage of the amphitheatre during the summer season. Films are screened at the Summer Cinema after dark, and entry is usually free of charge.

In addition, since its construction, the amphitheatre has been the place where concerts of World Festival of Polish Choirs are held.
