Orthodox St. Nicholas church in Szczecin is at 1 A Zygmunta Starego.
The pastor of the Orthodox parish of St. Nicholas is Fr. Paweł Stefanowski, MA.
The Orthodox parish in Szczecin was established before the Operation Vistula, in the first half of the 1946. In 1951, the Wrocław-Szczecin diocese was established, and Father Jan Ignatowicz became the parish priest and dean. Among the temples of the dean's office, two were in residential houses. One of them was the church at Bogusława (in the parish priest's apartment). Only at the beginning of the 1960s, the Szczecin parish received a room for an Orthodox church in a separate house at Wawrzyniaka (the parish priest was Father Aleksy Baranow). The St. Nicholas Orthodox Church has been located there to this day.
Orthodox services are held on a high floor. At the bottom there is a Pentecostal parish. In the house at Wawrzyniaka, the Orthodox parish also has a room for parish meetings.
The Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church is one of the independent, canonical Orthodox Churches. It has under its jurisdiction all Orthodox parishes on the territory of the Republic of Poland. The present church diptych brings together 15 churches independent of any foreign authority and three partially dependent churches.
