Wolin. The remains of the former defensive walls are in the vicinity of Polna and the quay.
The system of fortifications around the city, created in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, consisted of defensive walls and five bastions protruding in front of them. Expansion of the fortifications lasted until the 17th century, then they were dismantled and rebuilt again in 1710.
Fragments of the oldest walls are in the north-eastern part of the city. They are three meters high and about 50 meters long. They are made of stone and have a non-uniform structure.
