The windmill is situated on a private plot on a small hill on the edge of the village of Czarnogłowy.
The windmill is from the mid-nineteenth century. The stationary brick body of the windmill has been preserved in good condition, while the rotating shape of the roof has not survived. The facility is one of the few surviving Dutch windmills built in the 18th and 19th centuries on the western and northern borders of Poland. Currently, the building is accessible from the outside.
